Unbelievable experience. Made an appointment directly with the “service manager” to have tires put on at 10 AM. Get there at 10 AM he tells me it’ll take a couple hours. No big deal. Noon rolls around, 1, 2, 3…. Give him a call at 3:45 “they’ll be ready in an hour” show up at 5:00; an hour and 15 minutes later. They’re untouched exactly where I left them. He was unable to give me a timeline for when they would be put on. All in all a horrible experience and massive waste of time. Now I need to try to get my money back from Gigatire and get another shop to mount these tires. I wish I could give zero stars.

Scheduled an emissions test a week in advance. Received two confirmations of the appt for 10am on a Saturday. Another customer also had a 10am appt. They were checked in by simply giving their name. I was questioned on when my appt was made, if I received confirmation, when my emissions was due. When I showed them my text confirmations (two) I was met with condescension claiming they “believed me”. Clearly they didn’t or were just looking for an excuse when it was obvious they double booked. They claimed to have “left messages for anyone they couldn’t fit in.” I didn’t receive one. Double booking in itself isn’t a huge issue, I was willing to wait. I was told they wouldn’t perform my test and would be prioritizing the appt scheduled which happened to be for a man, vs. mine - a woman. Without being willing to explain that decision (my appt was booked first). Something to consider for anyone who chooses to give their business to Monroe. Would you want your mother, sister or wife to be treated this way? Edit: I attempted to inform corporate customer support in the hopes to understand why my experience differed. That gentleman proceeded to talk down to and speak over me.

Worst experience ever. Brought my new Rivian R1S in to get the snow tires taken off which they had originally installed. They ended up badly damaging 3 of my rims on their tire changing machine. They brought the truck over when they were done and failed to mention that they damaged the rims, luckily I inspected the vehicle and saw the damage. Didn’t even get an apology, all they said was that the tire machine doesn’t work that well and that it does that sometimes to rims. Do not bring your vehicle to this Monro location on 280 Westport Ave, Norwalk CT. They are completely incompetent and will damage your vehicle.

I had a fantastic experience at Monrow in Norwalk CT. The staff could not have been friendlier or more polite, and the service manager really knows what he’s doing. I was awesome impressed by the way he treats his employees. I will absolutely be back.

I had an outstanding experience with Gerry Garcia at Monro Auto Service & Tire Center. I went to three different mechanics before coming here, and none of them could figure out the problem with my car. Gerry found the issue within the first minute and explained everything to me clearly and honestly. His personality is amazing—very kind, respectful, patient, and truly honest. He took the time to guide me through the situation and made sure I understood my options without any pressure. His knowledge, job skills, and work ethic are exceptional. It’s very rare to find someone who is this professional and trustworthy. Gerry genuinely cares about his customers and their vehicles. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and high-quality service. Thank you, Gerry, for taking such great care of my car!
